Commanders Want To Get Antonio Gibson More Touches
2 years agoWashington Commanders head coach Ron Rivera said he'd like to get more touches for fourth-year running back Antonio Gibson this year, and Rivera is intrigued by how the versatile Gibson fits into "what Eric Bieniemy wants to do with the offense." In his third year in D.C. in 2022, Gibson had a career-low 149 carries for 546 yards and three touchdowns, but he added a career-high 46 catches (58 targets) for 353 yards and two more scores in 15 games (six starts). Brian Robinson will continue to be a thorn in Gibson's side on early downs and at the goal line, but Gibson's fantasy ceiling should go up with Bieniemy running the offense and if they indeed give him more touches to do damage in an offense that has the potential to be explosive.
