Colts Won't Force A Quarterback In The Draft
5 years agoIndianapolis Colts general manager Chris Ballard doesn't appear to be pressured to select a quarterback in this year's draft as insurance for veteran Philip Rivers. "You can’t force that. You can’t force the QB position. Esp in the draft. It’s gotta be the right guy, the right fit. I don’t know when that’s gonna happen. And I’m not gonna force it," Ballard said. Rivers looked a bit washed up in his final season with the Chargers, but he could easily bounce back with one of the best offensive lines in front of him in his first year in Indianapolis. While quarterbacks Joe Burrow, Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert will be gone in the first round, the Colts could have some intriguing options at the QB position with one of their two picks in the second round of next week's draft.
