Colts Head Coach Has High Praise For Michael Pittman Jr.
5 years agoThere's a reason why the Indianapolis Colts took USC wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. with their first pick in the draft at No. 34 overall in the second round. Pro Bowler T.Y. Hilton is 30 now and Zach Pascal led the team with just 607 receiving yards last year, but head coach Frank Reich also thinks that Pittman might have been the best receiver in a stacked draft class at the position. Pittman had 101 catches for 1,275 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2019, and general manager Chris Ballard compared him to former Pro Bowler Vincent Jackson, who quarterback Philip Rivers played with in San Diego. Pittman is a big, physical receiver who could easily be the team's No. 2 behind Hilton in his rookie season. With Rivers having no problem throwing up 50-50 balls for big, physical players he trusts, Pittman could be extremely fantasy relevant early on.
