Cole Hamels Heading To The Cubs
6 years agoA deal is in place to send Texas Rangers starting pitcher Cole Hamels to the Chicago Cubs, according to a source. The complete package is unknown and Hamels must pass a physical, but the deal has been agreed on. The left-hander has been a shell of his former self, has been giving up long balls often and has a terrible 10.23 ERA in his last five starts. But he should be looking at an increase in fantasy value moving to the National League and to a winning club, especially since he's been much better on the road than in Texas this year. Expect the Cubs to boot either Mike Montgomery or Tyler Chatwood from the rotation to make room for Hamels.
