Colby Parkinson Has Surgery For Jones Fracture
5 years agoSeattle Seahawks rookie tight end Colby Parkinson (foot), a fourth-round pick, suffered a broken fifth metatarsal in his foot while running a route this offseason, according to a source. Parkinson had surgery on the Jones fracture on June 2 and has been rehabbing in Seattle. This injury means that the rookie might not be ready for the start of the season. With no in-person workouts this offseason due to the coronavirus pandemic, Parkinson will now miss training camp workouts in July. The Seahawks are stacked at tight end with Greg Olsen, Will Dissly, Luke Willson and Jacob Hollister, though, so Parkinson likely won't see much of the field in 2020 when he recovers from his injury.
