Cody Reed To Enter Rotation
6 years agoCincinnati Reds pitcher Cody Reed will move from the bullpen to the rotation and start the series finale on Thursday against the Brewers. Sal Romano and Robert Stephenson will work as relievers now. Reed has a 2.79 ERA in seven relief outings for the Reds since being called up from Triple-A Louisville and has seen some high-leverage spots. The southpaw has gone 1-8 with a 6.75 ERA with the Reds the last two seasons, but he thinks he belongs now. Reed went 2-0 with a 1.38 ERA in his final four starts on the farm with Louisville. We don't advise using Reed in a tough matchup with Milwaukee this week, but he could certainly have streaming appeal in deeper leagues down the stretch if he continues to pitch well.
