5 years agoQuarterback Cody Kessler was waived by the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday. Kessler had a chance to win the Eagles backup job this preseason, but he suffered a concussion which led to the Eagles luring Josh McCown out of retirement. McCown easily won the backup job and will hold the clipboard for starter Carson Wentz. Kessler ended up attempting just 15 passes in the preseason, completing seven of them.
