2 months agoCody Durden picked up a second-round submission win over Matt Schnell on the main card of UFC Vegas 97. Durden took this fight on four days' notice, and despite taking it on short notice and being on a two-fight losing streak he was the favorite. The first round was competitive as they traded heavy shots. To begin the second round, Schnell shot in for a bad takedown and Durden got ahold of his neck and got the tap just 39 seconds into the second round. With the win, Durden is now 17-6-1 as a pro and 6-4-1 in the UFC. He could get a top-15 flyweight next time out.--Cole Shelton
