Cody Bradford Starting Tuesday Against Astros
1 year agoTexas Rangers rookie left-hander Cody Bradford will make the start on Tuesday against the division-rival Houston Astros. Bradford will get the nod with the Rangers pushing right-hander Nathan Eovaldi back this week after he recently experienced a drop in velocity. It will be Bradford's sixth start of the year in his first MLB season. Overall, he's gone 2-1 with a 4.78 ERA (4.75 FIP), 1.12 WHIP, eight walks and 29 strikeouts in 32 innings pitched. In his five starts, he's allowed 13 earned runs on 23 hits (four home runs) while walking eight and striking out 20 in 23 2/3 frames. The 25-year-old hasn't started since July 7, so fantasy managers looking for a spot starter in deeper leagues shouldn't expect Bradford to go deep into a tough matchup against Houston.
