Cody Bellinger Trying To Fix Swing
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers general manager Andrew Friedman said that first baseman/outfielder Cody Bellinger will work on his swing with the team's hitting coaches this week. He also has his own ideas on how to fix his swing and improve for 2019 after hitting .260/.343/.470 with 25 home runs and 76 RBI in 162 games. It was a fall-off after he impressed with 39 homers and 97 RBI in his rookie season in 2017. Bellinger has a pretty long swing but managed to strike out just five more times last year in 30 more games, but he also walked just five more times as well. He's still just 23 years old and has a very bright future. Bellinger will remain a strong fantasy choice in the early rounds, and his first base and outfield eligibility makes him even more attractive. If he improves his swing and becomes more consistent, the sky is the limit.
