Cody Bellinger Hit By Pitch, Leaves Game Monday
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers slugger Cody Bellinger was hit by a pitch on the right knee on Monday and had to leave the game early. He entered the game leading the National League with nine home runs and 22 runs scored, and he had an RBI double in the first inning before his injury. Bellinger tried to remain in the game but was replaced by Alex Verdugo in right field when the inning ended. The 23-year-old has been an MVP front-runner to begin the season, hitting .433/.513/.925 with 23 RBI and even three stolen bases. It'd be a huge blow to the Dodgers and his fantasy owners if he lands on the injured list. Stay tuned for more updates on Bellinger's injury.
