Clayton Kershaw To Miss A Few Weeks Of Regular Season
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) threw a 22-pitch simulated game to Dodgers hitters on Wednesday, but he admitted it's basically the start of his spring training after he developed left shoulder inflammation and had to be shut down. The left-hander will miss at least several weeks of the regular season. Manager Dave Roberts said Kershaw will throw a bullpen session on Saturday and two "innings" in a simulated game on Monday. Kershaw has been hurt by injuries the last two years and saw a significant drop in velocity in 2018, prompting fantasy owners to be more hesitant to select him as a fantasy ace this year. His value is dropping like a rock, to the point where he's now ranked as RotoBaller's No. 19 overall fantasy starter.
