Clayton Kershaw Throws Simulated Game
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) threw 50 pitches in a three-inning simulated game on Saturday and then a fourth inning in the bullpen. Manager Dave Roberts said the left-hander will throw his standard side session in a couple days before going to Triple-A Oklahoma City or Double-A Tulsa for a four- or five-inning rehab start. The Dodgers will then decide after that if he needs another rehab start or if he's ready to make his season debut. After dealing with injuries the last two years and a concerning drop in velocity in 2018, Kershaw is off on the wrong foot this year. He's a bigger risk as a fantasy ace than ever before, but he needs to be stashed everywhere.
