Christopher Morel Resting Against Giants
5 months agoChicago Cubs third baseman Christopher Morel will take a seat on the bench for Tuesday's contest against the visiting San Francisco Giants. Morel's average has dropped under .200 on the year and he has just one hit in 20 at-bats with five strikeouts in his last five games. In the month of June, he's gone 10-for-55 (.182) with three home runs, five RBI, five walks and 15 strikeouts in 63 plate appearances. The 24-year-old right-handed power bat has his fair share of hot and cold streaks. He's not going to help your fantasy team's average or on-base percentage, but he's still relevant for his pop (13 home runs), run production (40 RBI and 34 runs scored) and modest speed (seven stolen bases). David Bote will start at third and bat eighth on Tuesday against Giants right-hander Logan Webb. Bote will have limited fantasy appeal in DFS that low in the order.
