Christin Stewart Injured Wednesday
6 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Christin Stewart suffered a right medial quadriceps spasm in the loss on Wednesday and had to be removed from the game early. He'll be examined on Thursday and we'll have more details on the severity of the injury then. Stewart told manager Ron Gardenhire that he injured himself running out a fly ball late in the game. He is the only player on the team with double-digit RBI on the year, and he has three of the team's seven home runs. Stewart had a single, run scored, walk and strikeout in his four plate appearances on Wednesday. He's hitting just .222/.313/.519 despite his 13 RBI in 64 plate appearances. Dustin Peterson is in line to see more playing time if Stewart is forced to the injured list.
