Christian Watson Crosses Century Mark In Season Finale
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson caught 4-of-6 targets and gained 104 yards during the team's 20-16 loss to the Detroit Lions. He added two carries for 12 yards to his total. Injuries held back the rookie receiver from succeeding early in 2022, but once healthy and incorporated into the offense starting in Week 10, Watson was one of the top fantasy wide receivers. He quickly became quarterback Aaron Rodgers' favorite target when looking to score, catching seven touchdowns in four games from Weeks 10-13. The 23-year-old ranked as the WR7 overall from Weeks 10-18 and finished as a top 15 wide receiver in five of the final eight games. Watson has a chance to improve in 2023, but he may be without star quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who could potentially be traded or retire. He will enter 2023 drafts as the top Packers wide receiver, likely as a fringe WR2/3, depending on Rodgers' status with the team.
