Christian McCaffrey Set For Much Bigger Workload
6 years agoCarolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera said that getting running back Christian McCaffrey the ball 25 to 30 times a game would be "ideal." That might be feasible if McCaffrey was the do-everything back, but the Panthers brough C.J. Anderson in through free agency to be the early-down back, so it's unlikely McCaffrey sees that kind of workload on a per-game basis. Still, the second-year back has put on some muscle and is expected to see more work on the ground between the tackles. His 80 receptions led the team last year, but it'll be hard for him to get there again this year with an improved receiving corps. McCaffrey is still a strong RB2 choice with RB1 upside in PPR leagues.
