Chris Taylor Has Fractured Forearm
5 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers placed infielder/outfielder Chris Taylor (forearm) on the 10-day injured list on Monday with a non-displaced fracture of his left forearm after being hit by a pitch on Sunday night. The general timetable for such an injury is four to six weeks. It's a bummer for Taylor and the Dodgers, as he was hitting .370 with 12 extra-base hits, including three homers, and 17 RBI in the last 21 games. Infielder Matt Beatty was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move. Taylor has been effective in stretches for those in deep mixed and NL-only leagues as a utility hitter, batting .261 with eight long balls, 33 runs, 41 RBI and seven steals. Beatty could be useful as a low-price DFS flier when he's in the lineup.
