4 years agoLos Angeles Angels relief pitcher Chris Rodriguez (shoulder) hasn't started his throwing program but has been receiving treatment and doing strengthening exercises in the gym after being put on the injured list last Thursday with right shoulder inflammation. However, the Angels remain optimistic that it will be a short stay on the injured list for Rodriguez. The 22-year-old right-hander has looked solid so far this year in relief, posting a 2.30 ERA and 1.08 WHIP with 17 strikeouts and eight walks in 15 2/3 frames over eight outings. He's also 2-0 with a 26.2 strikeout percentage. Rodriguez is a young arm to watch in the Angels bullpen, and he could see more high-leverage innings down the line if he continues to get it done.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
