6 years agoDenver Broncos cornerback Chris Harris Jr., who has been absent from the team's voluntary minicamp, has requested either a new deal or a trade, according to NFL Network's James Palmer. The cornerback wants at least $15 million a year on a new contract, which would make Harris the highest paid player in average annual value. The 29-year-old is in the final year of his current deal and is scheduled to earn $7.8 million in base salary. Harris is coming off his fourth Pro Bowl season and has become the heart and soul of Denver's secondary.
