Chris Godwin, Russell Gage Ready To Play Against Falcons
2 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers wide receivers Chris Godwin (knee) and Russell Gage (hamstring) were both taken off the final injury report on Friday and will suit up in Week 5 against the Atlanta Falcons. Godwin tweaked his hamstring in the season opener and finally returned in the Week 4 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, catching seven of his 10 targets for 59 yards while playing a season-high 83 percent of the offensive snaps. In a good matchup against the Falcons defense, the 26-year-old should be considered a WR2 as one of quarterback Tom Brady's favorite targets. Gage was questionable for the first four games of the season, but he hasn't missed a game and could be the No. 3 receiver for Tampa on Sunday if Julio Jones (knee) is unable to go.
