Chris Davis Absent Against Rays
6 years agoBaltimore Orioles first baseman Chris Davis (illness) remains out of the starting lineup on Wednesday. Renato Nunez is getting the start at first base and is batting cleanup against Rays starting pitcher Ryne Stanek. Davis finally snapped the longest hitless drought in MLB history over the weekend but is hitting an ugly .089 (4-for-45) with a homer and eight RBI on the season. He still has power but is a poor fantasy option moving forward. Nunez has 18 hits in 62 at-bats (.290) with two home runs and 11 RBI and has been a pleasant surprise on a bad team. He's worth sleeper consideration in DFS out of the cleanup spot.
