Chris Carson Will Start On Thursday
6 years agoSeattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer said that running back Chris Carson (hip) will continue to start on Thursday against the Packers after he sat out in Week 10. While rookie Rashaad Penny broke out for over 100 yards and his first NFL touchdown in Carson's absence last week, the Seahawks know that he is still raw and learning the NFL game. "He’ll always be involved in the plan. We’re hard on him. We’re excited about him. He’s still a young player. He still has those times in the meetings where it’s like, 'Rashaad, are you listening?' like most young players do. The season is long," Schottenheimer said. It sounds like Carson will remain the lead back, but Penny could see more work behind him at the expense of Mike Davis. Carson is an RB2/3 in his return, while Penny could be a boom/bust RB3/flex in PPR leagues.
