Chris Bassitt Activated, Set To Start On Thursday
3 years agoThe Oakland Athletics have activated starting pitcher Chris Bassitt (face) from the injured list. He is set to start Thursday's game against the Seattle Mariners. The team placed relief pitcher Sam Moll on the paternity list in a corresponding move. Bassitt was sidelined for about a month. He suffered multiple facial fractures after being hit in the face by a comebacker off the bat of Chicago White Sox outfielder Brian Goodwin. Bassitt has had a fantastic season (apart from the broken face part). Over 25 games, he's gone 12-4 with a 3.22 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP. There's been no indication that he'll be on a strict pitch count for Thursday's game, so he's worth firing up in all fantasy leagues.
