6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Chris Archer (thumb) was scheduled to play catch on Friday for the first time since going on the injured list with thumb inflammation. Archer could return to the rotation sometime next week if he can avoid setbacks. The right-hander is 1-2 with a 4.33 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 29 K's in 27 innings over his five starts this season. While he has been somewhat of a disappointment in Pittsburgh, Archer still has value in most fantasy leagues when he's healthy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
