Chiefs Trust Darrel Williams In All Aspects Of Game
4 years agoKansas City Chiefs general manager Brett Veach said that the team has a lot of trust in backup running back Darrel Williams. “He’s one of those guys that he’s been here for such a long time and there’s a lot of trust in regards to his ability in all phases of the game – running and blocking, in particular, pass pro too,” Veach said. Williams is listed as the No. 2 to rookie Clyde Edwards-Helaire, but he should have a role early on, especially in pass protection, where the Chiefs may not fully trust the rookie. The 25-year-old was worth a flier late in PPR leagues, and he's also worth a waiver pickup where he went undrafted. He's in play as a DFS sleeper in Week 1 against the Texans and should be considered a deep sleeper as a flex play in season-long leagues.
