Chiefs Release Eric Berry
6 years agoThe Kansas City Chiefs released safety Eric Berry on Wednesday. The veteran All-Pro played in 89 games (87 starts) in his nine seasons with the Chiefs. He has 440 career tackles (372 solo), 5.5 sacks, 14 interceptions (five touchdowns), 51 passes defensed, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Berry is a five-time Pro Bowler but he played in just three games the last two seasons due to injuries. The Chiefs are making a concerted effort to get younger this offseason on defense.
