Charlie Morton Dealing With Shoulder Discomfort
6 years agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Charlie Morton (shoulder) left his start early on Sunday with right shoulder discomfort. Morton allowed one earned run on one hit while striking out two in just one inning against the Angels before leaving the contest. It's bad timing for this injury, which landed him on the disabled list earlier this year. There's a chance Houston won't have Morton ready for the start of the playoffs, which would be a big blow. The right-hander is 15-3 on the season with a 3.18 ERA and impressive 10.81 K/9.
