4 months agoColorado Rockies outfield prospect Charlie Condon signed his first professional contract with a $9.25 million signing bonus on Friday, July 19. The Rockies selected Condon with the third overall pick out of Georgia in the MLB Draft last weekend. The 21-year-old has elite raw power that should play very well at hitter-friendly Coors Field. This spring, he led all NCAA Division 1 athletes in several statistics, such as batting average (.433), slugging percentage (1.009), and home runs with 37. The outfielder is a name to keep a close eye on as he progresses through the minor leagues and is a strong candidate to take with the first pick in first-year player drafts in dynasty leagues.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
