Chargers, Philip Rivers To Address Contract After Season
5 years agoThe Los Angeles Chargers and quarterback Philip Rivers are both in agreement that he will play out his contract in 2019 and address his status after the season, according to sources. Entering his age-38 season, Rivers is scheduled to make $16 million in 2019 in the final year of his four-year, $83.25 million extension. Despite his age, Rivers has started every game for the team since 2006. He remains one of the most durable signal callers in the game and is typically undervalued come draft season. Most fantasy owners won't be comfortable relying on him as their QB1, but Rivers will assuredly put up QB1 numbers more often than not given all the weapons he has at his disposal.
