Chargers Bullish On Tyrod Taylor
5 years agoLos Angeles Chargers general manager Tom Telesco thinks highly of Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert, but head coach Anthony Lynn is legitimately bullish on Tyrod Taylor, and possibly for more than one year as the starter in a post-Philip Rivers world. Just because the Chargers believe in Taylor as a starting signal-caller doesn't mean that they won't take Herbert or another QB with the No. 6 overall pick in this month's draft, but Taylor is widely expected to be their starter come Week 1. The Bolts have shown very little interest in signing Cam Newton as a free agent, and Lynn has experience with Taylor as his QB from their time in Buffalo. A dual-threat player with plenty of weapons around him, Taylor could surprise if he's handed the keys.
