Case Keenum The Starter When Healthy
5 years agoWashington Redskins interim head coach Bill Callahan said that quarterback Case Keenum (concussion) will be the starter in Week 9 against the Bills if he's healthy. If he can't get cleared from the league's concussion protocol after suffering a head injury Thursday night, rookie Dwayne Haskins would get the start. The good news is that Keenum will have extra time to get over his head injury, but a date with Buffalo's strong defense on the road won't be good for whoever starts for the 'Skins next week. Keenum gives the Redskins the best chance to win in the short term, and Haskins has looked very overmatched in his little action so far in his rookie season. Washington's offense remains one of the worst in the NFL no matter who is under center.
