Carson Wentz Struggles His Way To A Week 8 Win
4 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz wasn't great in Week 8, but he was good enough to beat the Cowboys and fall backwards into first place in the NFC East. Wentz completed 15 of his 27 passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns. He threw two interceptions and lost two fumbles in an ugly four turnover game. Wentz added 17 yards on the ground on four carries. Wentz struggled throwing the ball deep against a Cowboys secondary that essentially no one else has struggled against this season. Both of his touchdowns were on short passes into the end zone, one to rookie Jalen Reagor for two yards and one to Travis Fulgham for nine yards. Wentz has thrown a dozen touchdowns in 2020 to go with his dozen interceptions. The Eagles will be on a bye week in Week 9.
