6 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals pitcher Carlos Martinez (shoulder) was examined by the team's medical staff in St. Louis on Thursday. He's headed to Texas to meet up with the club and is expected to be activated from the injured list on Saturday. Martinez will be making his season debut for the Red Birds out of the bullpen, where he definitely won't have nearly as much fantasy value. However, he could wind up working high-leverage situations and could find himself back in the starting rotation in the second half of the season if he proves healthy and effective.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
