Carlos Correa, Aaron Sanchez Going On Injured List
5 years agoThe Houston Astros are placing shortstop Carlos Correa (back) and starting pitcher Aaron Sanchez (pectoral) on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday, according to manager A.J. Hinch. It will be Correa's second time on the injured list this year after missing two months earlier this season with a fractured rib. He's hitting .278 with 19 home runs and 56 RBI in 72 games, so it's a big loss for Houston and Correa's fantasy owners. Sanchez has been dealing with a sore pectoral muscle for six or seven starts and allowed three runs and four hits in just 2 1/3 innings on Tuesday. The right-hander has an ugly 5.89 ERA on the year and a 5-14 record overall, and he hasn't been much better with Houston, posting a 4.82 ERA in his four starts. Jack Mayfield could see more playing time with Correa out up the middle, but the 'Stros could also elect to move Alex Bregman to the 6.
