Carlos Carrasco To Be Activated Sunday
5 years agoThe Cleveland Indians plan to activate starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco (illness) from the 60-day injured list on Sunday, according to manager Terry Francona. The 32-year-old Carrasco has been out since late May after being diagnosed with leukemia. The right-hander allowed one run while striking out six in 3 2/3 innings with Double-A Akron and Triple-A Columbus on his rehab assignment. As he builds endurance, Carrasco will likely pitch out of Cleveland's bullpen to close out the regular season, making him unappealing in fantasy. Fantasy aside, this is a great story for both Carrasco and the Tribe as they look to win a postseason spot.
