Cardinals Re-Sign Darrell Daniels, Charles Washington
4 years agoThe Arizona Cardinals re-signed tight end Darrell Daniels and safety/special teams player Charles Washington to undisclosed one-year deals on Thursday. Daniels gives the team a second tight end with experience behind Maxx Williams. However, the Cardinals are still likely looking for a better receiving target at the position after Dan Arnold left for the Carolina Panthers. Daniels had a career-high eight catches for 92 yards and his first career touchdown in 2020. Washington has been with the team since 2019 and played only 40 defensive snaps in 15 games last year, but he also had 256 snaps on special teams. His return for the special teams unit is a big one, as the Cardinals lost wide receiver Trent Sherfield in free agency.
