Cardinals Looking To Get Larry Fitzgerald More Involved
6 years agoArizona Cardinals new offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich said the team is looking to get wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald the ball more. "The plays are still there in him. I don’t think he’s dead yet," Leftwich said. Fitzgerald has been a forgotten man in Arizona's terrible offense this year, and it doesn't help it's being run by rookie quarterback Josh Rosen. However, Fitz has had back-to-back games with eight targets and scored for the first time in Week 7. He has a good opportunity in Week 8 against a Niners secondary that could be without cornerback Richard Sherman (calf), but until we see more out of Fitzgerald, he'll remain a low-ceiling WR4/flex.
