Cam Newton's Mobility Is Fine
5 years agoCarolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera said that quarterback Cam Newton's (foot) mobility has been good in practice and he feels like the signal-caller will be able to do the things he normally does in Week 1 on Sunday against the Rams. Newton suffered a mid-foot sprain in the third preseason game but is past the issue and is all systems go for the regular season opener. Many fantasy owners were skeptical of Newton in drafts this year because of his second straight offseason with right shoulder surgery. But if he's right, Newton should remain a QB1 most weeks. He's a low-end QB1/high-end QB2 to start the year in a tough matchup with LA's capable defense.
