5 years agoCarolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton (foot) is not listed on the team's Week 1 injury report against the Rams. Head coach Ron Rivera said there's no reason to hold Newton back in the season opener. With injury concerns surrounding his foot and right shoulder, Newton's fantasy value dropped in drafts, but he still has the potential to put up QB1 numbers more often than not, especially if he continues to use his legs to pick up yards. He'll be a risk/reward low-end QB1 while going up the NFL Champions from a year ago in Week 1.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
