5 years agoCarolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton (foot) is not at practice on Thursday for the second straight day. Newton was in a walking boot on Wednesday and isn't expected to play in Week 3 against the Cardinals. You need to make other plans now if you were planning on using him as your starter this week. Backup Kyle Allen will get the nod if Newton is inactive, but he's a low-end QB2 in deeper leagues despite having a good matchup against the Cardinals sketchy secondary. Receivers D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel need to be downgraded slightly with Newton injured.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
