4 years agoColorado Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron is absent from the starting lineup for Game 1 of the team's doubleheader against the New York Mets on Thursday. Joshua Fuentes is manning first base and batting fifth in the game. Cron has been the team's everyday cleanup hitter lately, but he's gone 0-for-9 with four strikeouts over his last three games. We're still yet to see strong power numbers from Cron in his first year with the Rockies. He has just four home runs over 36 games. However, his .282 batting average on the year has been a nice surprise as he's a career .258 hitter.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
