Bucs Want To Keep DeSean Jackson
6 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht said the team has no plans to trade wide receiver DeSean Jackson after he reportedly asked for a trade before the Oct. 30 deadline. "We're 3-3, we're headed into big game today, we've got a big stretch of games coming up for us, and we don't like to talk about these stories. But I can say that my job and our job here is to field the best roster that we can to win games, and DeSean is a huge, huge part of that, not just today, but for the rest of the season. Other than that, I don't have anything else to add," Licht said. The Bucs especially don't want to trade Jackson after he caught his fourth touchdown of the season in the Week 8 loss to the Bengals. While D-Jax is a boom/bust fantasy option, he could see an increase in value if the team sticks with Ryan Fitzpatrick under center moving forward after he came in to replace Jameis Winston, who threw four interceptions against Cincinnati.
