Bucs Could Look To Bring Breshad Perriman Back
5 years agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers were focused on re-signing their own players before they signed quarterback Tom Brady, so they could return their focus on bringing back wide receiver Breshad Perriman as a downfield threat for Brady. The 26-year-old finished the 2019 season with 36 catches for 645 yards and a career-high six touchdowns in 14 games in his first year in Tampa. He did most of his damage late in the year when both Mike Evans and Chris Godwin were out of the lineup with injuries, but Perriman is an excellent deep threat and a solid No. 3 wideout behind Evans and Godwin. The question is whether Brady's arm strength will be up to the task of hitting Perriman deep on a consistent basis. If he returns to Tampa, he'll be an inconsistent, boom/bust WR5/6.
