Buccaneers To Run More 12 Personnel?
5 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians will stick mostly to the offense that he ran in 2019, meaning new quarterback Tom Brady will have to adjust to the team's scheme while also implementing some of the stuff he ran in New England to make him comfortable. NFL.com's Bucky Brooks expects Tampa to run more multi-tight end packages, with a heavy emphasis on 12 personnel (one RB, two TEs, two WRs). The Bucs featured 12 personnel on just 20 percent of their offensive snaps in 2019, per Next Gen Stats, but they now have tight ends Rob Gronkowski, O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate in the fold. When you add that to the stellar receiving duo of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, Brady will be operating with a stacked group in the passing game. Considering his weapons, Brady should be able to rebound from his poor 2019 season to become a QB1 for fantasy owners, despite his age.
