Bryce Harper Works Out Sunday
2 days agoPhiladelphia Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper (hamstring) started doing some rehab work in the pool and the weight room prior to Sunday's game against the division-rival Miami Marlins, and manager Rob Thomson said that there's a "good chance" that he will return before the mid-July All-Star break. Harper is recuperating from a strained left hamstring, and it sounds like he should be able to the Phillies as soon as he's first eligible to be reinstated from the 10-day injured list on July 9. The 31-year-old superstar is slashing an MVP-caliber .303/.399/.582 with 20 home runs, 20 doubles, 58 RBI, and four stolen bases over 287 at-bats in 2024. Alec Bohm should primarily operate at first base while Harper is sidelined, opening up an everyday role at third base for Edmundo Sosa, who is worth watching in all fantasy leagues.
