Bryan Woo Goes Back On Injured List
5 months agoSeattle Mariners right-hander Bryan Woo (hamstring) is heading back to the 15-day injured list on Tuesday with what he called a low-grade hamstring strain. Woo suffered the hamstring strain in his start on Monday night in Tampa against the Rays and will now miss at least several weeks. Although Woo's injury doesn't sound serious, given the timing of the injury, he may be fighting an uphill battle to return to Seattle's starting rotation before the All-Star break in mid-July. In a corresponding move, the M's called up pitcher Collin Snider from Triple-A Tacoma. Woo has pitched great in 2024 but has had terrible injury luck. Emerson Hancock would be the logical replacement for Woo in Seattle, but he's currently dealing with lower-back tightness at Tacoma. Woo deserves to be stashed where he's rostered after going 3-1 so far this year with a 1.77 ERA and 0.69 WHIP in eight starts.
