Bruce Arians Thinks O.J. Howard Can Play Better
5 years agoWhen asked about Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end O.J. Howard's production through two games, head coach Bruce Arians said "he can play a heck of a lot better than he's playing." We'd agree with that, as Howard only has four catches for 32 yards through the first two weeks of the season. He wasn't targeted at all in Thursday's win over the Panthers. Arians has never really utilized tight ends in his offense, but Howard is one of the better talents the coach has had at the position and many figured Howard would break out in 2019. There's still time for the Bucs to get Howard going in the offense, but if he doesn't produce in Week 3 against the Giants, it might be time to panic.
