Browns Hope To Trade Josh Gordon
6 years agoThe Cleveland Browns are hoping to trade embattled wide receiver Josh Gordon (hamstring) after he showed up late to the facility on Saturday and was "not himself," according to league sources. If they can't trade him they will release him Monday morning. Gordon also complained of a pulled hamstring on Saturday. There were concerns that he was possibly struggling with his sobriety or on the verge of relapsing when he was examined by team doctors. Teams have already begun calling Gordon about trades, and Gordon hopes to land with either the 49ers or Cowboys, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. A source told Schefter that Gordon hurt his hamstring during a promotional shoot. The troubled receiver has been suspended for 56 of a possible 97 games in his career and has played in only 11 games since the end of 2014. Fourth-round pick Antonio Callaway should get the start on Sunday with Gordon out of the picture, but Rashard Higgins will also likely get more repetitions because of his consistency and grasp of the offense. Because Gordon still has immense talent and he should land with another team soon, he should be held in all fantasy leagues.
