Browns Hire Todd Monken As Offensive Coordinator
6 years agoThe Cleveland Browns hired former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Todd Monken to be their next offensive coordinator on Sunday, a league source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Monken will now work with first-year head coach Freddie Kitchens to develop quarterback Baker Mayfield as he approaches his second season in the NFL. Monken, 52, was Tampa's offensive coordinator since 2016 and was instrumental in leading a potent Bucs passing attack that featured Jameis Winston and Ryan Fitzpatrick at times. The Browns offense is in good hands, and Mayfield definitely will have appeal as a strong QB1 in just his second season.
